Our Story
Started in 2011 in a cramped studio apartment with a Canon and a dream. Back then, pet photography wasn't really a thing. People just snapped blurry phone photos. We wanted to change that. So we did pet shoots on weekends, learned as we went, made plenty of mistakes. Realized pretty quick that the best shots happened outside, in natural light, when animals weren't stressed. Built a client base one happy dog owner at a time. Moved to this studio in Brno in 2017. Haven't looked back since. We've photographed thousands of animals—dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, even a few eccentric parrots.

Petra Novotná
Founder & Lead Photographer
Started Tale Photography in 2011. Shot everything from street dogs to show rabbits. Obsessed with natural light and the moment just before an animal notices the camera. Also owns three incredibly photogenic rescue dogs.
Jakub Svoboda
Photographer & Studio Manager
Joined in 2015. Specializes in equine and action shots. Has a weird talent for making nervous animals calm down. Drinks too much coffee. His border collie is probably our most frequently photographed subject.

Handles the post-production magic since 2018. She's the one who makes your dog's eyes absolutely pop. Former graphic designer who couldn't stop editing photos, so she just made it her job.
